Show Notes: Last month, the SCOTUS refused to hear the appeal of Moath al-Alwi, who has been detained without charge in Guantanamo Bay for over 17 years. I interview Murtaza Hussain of The Intercept about al-Alwi. We discuss Justice Breyer’s statement on the court’s refusal to hear the case, and why Breyer thinks the Court should potentially hear the next such appeal.
