Through thunder, fire, and trembling, we see a holy God reveal His standard. The Ten Commandments are not given to save us, but to show us something deeper… that we cannot meet that standard on our own.

This sermon reminds us that the law can diagnose the problem of sin, but it cannot bring life. It exposes our need for something greater. It points us forward to Jesus.

From Sinai to the empty tomb, we are reminded that what we could not do, Christ has done for us.

The law shows us the weight of God’s holiness… and the depth of our need. But it does not leave us there.

It leads us forward. Forward to grace. Forward to redemption. Forward to Jesus.

And in Him, what was once impossible becomes a gift… freely given.
