In the Beatitudes, Jesus said that God's favor was on the peacemakers. In the Antitheses, Jesus is clear that citizens of the Kingdom Community will not use violence to resist evil. Rather, Jesus advocates for creative non-violent protest: turning the other cheek, giving away your coat, walking a second mile.
