The Leader of Opposition In Western Australia Mia Davies

Listen Later

Times are really changing in politics. We have not seen the level of turmoil that we’re currently seeing in Western Australian politics in a long time. The Liberals have been decimated so much so to the point that they’re no longer the majority in the opposition. The current Covid pandemic has had people scared with the new party looking stronger.

For today’s podcast, we have a conversation with a history maker. Our conversation is with the honourable Mia Davies MLA, who is the leader of the Nationals Party in Western Australia and currently the leader of the opposition in Western Australia. Previously, the opposition has either been Liberal or Labour aside from all the way back in 1942 when the Nationals was then called the Country Party. In 2014 Mia made history when she became the first female to be appointed deputy leader of The Nationals in Western Australia and in 2017 she made history again by becoming the leader of the Nationals Party.

This podcast episode is an important one to listen to so you can understand what is really going on in Western Australia. This podcast will provide clarity on if we should be worried and if we need to be making changes. Even if you’re a little bit interested in politics then this episode is a great listen.
