With another Mother's Day approaching, I'm contemplating my own journey of motherhood thus far while also reflecting on my own childhood.

I have a bad habit of mentally beating myself up mistakes I've made, words I wish hadn't said or did say and "failing at life" because I'm not where I believe I should be. Truth be told I didn't really think those words mattered and that I was not affected at all. Honestly, I was and still am craving those positive affirmations despite thinking they're cheesy and have shied away from receiving them. But it really was just that they made me uncomfortable to hear things about myself that "EYE" personally didn't really believe. So, its time I "talked to myself nice" not only for me, but also because of the kids I raise who must one day utilize their own inner voice to help raise them up when the outside world is filled with the chatter of the negative.

Fear has ruled my life for so long and I'm tired. Some of you may be familiar with this feeling as well. But you don't have to let it continue to rule your life. Its time to do something different.

That's how many minutes have passed this year up until 8:30 pm tonight. Those minutes may have looked far different than what we originally planned. But we still have 180,720 minutes left in the year. What will you do next?
