My next guest is a fine gentleman named Mike Nelson. He is a retired physician, and a writer (under the pen name of Michael Deeze), veteran, son, and father. He recently started something called The Legacy Project. The idea first came to him when his Father gave him a diary of all of his missions as a tail gunner on a B-17 in World War II. He was a 17 year old kid when he went in. He came home 2 years later after almost 40 missions a much older and different man. His father would never speak of his experiences during the war. But the diary explained it all in horrifying detail. And Mike only got to read it very late in his father's life. After reading it he understood a lot more about his father and why he was the way he was. Mike figured if he had known sooner he might have had a better relationship with him. He decided not to let that happen to his children and set out to document some of his own life. He started the Legacy Project to help others pass their knowledge and life experience on to their children and their children’s children. We are going to talk about that today and why it might be a good idea for every man to document his legacy. https://www.michaeldeezebooks.com/ https://www.facebook.com/michaeldeezebooks/ https://www.amazon.com/s?k=michael+deeze&i=stripbooks&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
