Today we're looking at Erie, Pennsylvania's most famous local legend - Axe Murder Hollow. If you live outside of Erie then you might have never heard about the Hollow but anyone that grows up in Erie has heard the chilling tale since childhood. The three of us grew up with this legend and love it very much. We're excited to dive into the history of the Hollow and see what started this legend. Is there any truth to the axe murderer tale? Was there a band of gypsies causing havoc in the area? Did the real, tragic murder of a young college student forever stain this area? The Hollow no longer stands as it once did but we're excited to dig into this long, twisted history.
