The Let's Get Real Podcast: Apologetics for Those Who Want to Say, "Just Give Me Jesus and the Bible!"
When it comes to understanding the need for doing apologetics, there are three kinds of Christians (and pastors). There is the "I understand the need for doing apologetics and I want to get started." There is the "I understand the need, but I am not sure about how it applies for doing ministry." And then there is "I don't need apologetics, Just give me Jesus and the Bible!"
Did you know that the Bible not only commands us to do apologetics, but that it is full of examples from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Jesus and the Apostles? I this episode, I stick strictly to the Bible to demonstrate this but also offer a caveat. If we are to think that sharing THIS information with one who has no intention of believing like us is going to be effective, we are sadly mistaken.
I also mention that while there is no piece of bad rhetoric that will put Jesus in the grave, the greatest need for apologetics is because of the doubt that may strike us.
