When we began our investigation of the reliability of the Bible (Point 6) focused only on the New Testament. The reason for this is because that is where we learn who Jesus is (even though Jesus was prophesied in the Old Testament). We concluded that Jesus is God and that whatever He teaches is necessarily true (Step 10). Therefore we can trust whatever Jesus teaches about the Bible as whole.
On this week's Let's Get Real Podcast, I address several passages that affirm Jesus testifying that what we have in the Old Testament and His promising the New Testament is truly the Word of God. The Qur'an is not the Word of God. The Vedas, Gita, and Upanishads are not the Word of God. The Tipitaka of Buddhism is not the Word of God. The Scriptures, we know as the 66 books of the Bible, are truly the Word of God, because Jesus confirmed it. Jesus did not lie, nor was He delusional.
