As hundreds of thousands turn out to protest the federal invasion of their state (contrary to rt 4 Sec 4) and speak in favor of the right to freely associate, we got to look at the so-called rules of the US Constitution, federalism, the unconstitutional FACE act being used against Don Lemon and others, the more appropriate field of state or local trespass statutes (for those who are not of my voluntaryist philosophy) and we look at Trump's warmongering against Iran, his corrupt redirection of VZ oil, and more. IMMIGRATION POLICE STATERather than appear in court today and present evidence showing that one of the men they kidnapped had committed some kind of crime, the “Acting ICE director” Todd Lyons released that man, and now, Judge Schlitz has pulled the order for Lyons to appear before him — for now. LINK - The kidnapped man is named Juan Hugo Tobay Robles, an Ecuadorean immigrant who came to the US nearly 30 years ago. He was detained by ICE agents in Minnesota on January 6. But, as we have reported on Liberty Conspiracy Live, Chief U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz, based in Minnesota, ruled that his detention was a breach of the Constitution and due process. On January 14, 2026, the judge ordered ICE to either provide him a habeas hearing within a week or release him. ICE did not comply initially, leading the judge to threaten contempt proceedings against Lyons, including ordering Lyons to appear in court today. The judge criticized ICE for a pattern of violating court orders in numerous immigration cases (citing at least 96 violations in 74 cases in Minnesota alone during the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement surge). After the threat, ICE released Tobay Robles from a Texas detention facility late Wednesday evening. His attorney, Graham Ojala-Barbour, confirmed the release to the court and media. Upon confirmation of the release, Judge Schiltz canceled the contempt hearing for Director Lyons. While the judge expressed ongoing concerns about ICE’s broader noncompliance with court orders and warned of potential future contempt actions if violations continue, there are no indications in the reports that Tobay Robles has been re-detained or faces imminent re-arrest/deportation threats specifically tied to this case post-release. The release resolved the immediate dispute in his individual case (Tobay Robles v. Noem or similar docket). No sources mention any active deportation proceedings, re-arrest warrants, or new threats against him as of the latest news I’m seeing.
-Don Lemon (and journalists Trahern Jeen Crews and Georgia Fort) Arrest(s) - The Feds are trying to get them - again, using the clearly unconstitutional FACE Act. If there is a crime here, it is a local or state issue. LINK And, of course, Lemon’s attys misread the Constitution, as well, claiming he had a “First Amendment” right to be inside the Church. The two opposing forces are standing on false arguments. FACE is an unconstitutional federal statute re free speech in public places (like streets), seeing the feds prohibit certain kinds of speech in real public places. That contradicts the First Amendment. But Lemon was INSIDE a church, on private property, thus, his claims of “First Amendment protection” are inoperative, because he could be cited for trespass on private land, and the state constitution’s protection of free speech pertains only to truly public (i.e. tax-funded) places. This shows observers why it has been important for us to discuss the erroneous ruling in “Marsh v Alabama”, which saw the Supreme Court claim that a private boat-making company in Alabama had a “campus” that was “public” when it never was supported by tax money and was PRIVATE.

The initial attempt to arrest Don Lemon was based on a criminal complaint filed by prosecutors, which was rejected by a magistrate judge and a chief judge. The Trump DOJ then pursued the matter through a federal grand jury, which issued an indictment on the same underlying allegations related to his coverage of an anti-ICE protest that disrupted a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota, on January 18. The specific charges in the indictment are Conspiracy to Deprive Rights under 18 U.S.C. § 241 and Violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act under 18 U.S.C. § 248 (applied here to allegedly interfering by force or threat with individuals’ exercise of religious freedom during the service).

US ECONOMY-Treasury Sec Scott Bessent is “warning” Canadian PM Carney about making deals with China that might actually reduce costs for Canadian consumers. This, prior to “trade” talks between the two government goons. There is an almost comedic lesson in that: two politicians who issue edicts over consumers and sellers then having meetings to discuss “trade”. They both stand in opposition to trade. They both assume that they can tell others how to trade. Still, Bessent warning Carney is rich. This is Bessent, who claimed he was working “for the people of Iran” as he pushed the US economic embargo on much of Iran’s output and many things that people try to ship TO Iran. Mr. Bessent might not comprehend that Carney engaged in this likely agreement with China, in part to set up negotiating room with the US. LINK
-For those focused solely on the “goods and services” side of the Balance of Payments (and, therefore, see as “bad” any higher amount of imports to the US that are above US exports to that nation), Trump’s tariffs were supposed to make those imports so much more expensive, Americans would buy the politically preferred American-made (often, those are made through use of imported raw materials or mechanical pieces, etc.). But, as we can see, the “goods and services” side of the ledger saw a higher “trade deficit” (trading is, by its nature, a voluntary act, and does not produce an “imbalance”) as the year ended.
(And, as Ms. York notes: these prices reflect the values PRIOR to the added federal tariff taxes.)
