The EPSTEIN FILES

-The bill to release the files passed at about 4 pm eastern time. It might be passed by the Senate by this time tomorrow. LINK
-Thomas Massie notes the utterly flippant and empty claims of worry from Speaker Johnson, that, should they release the files, some people might be at risk of errant accusation. The point is that, without ANY information, guilty parties walk, and WITH information, any errant insinuation can be debunked. Jeesh. LINK

-Ken Klippenstein offers key information on the bill to release the files, and some of the wording that gives the Exec Branch wiggle room to withhold anything it wants. LINK The fine line here might be that the legislation could be interpreted to allow withholding of info only on investigations proceeding at the time the bill was written, or passed, but Trump’s DOJ likely will try to block certain names and likely will claim the privilege of prosecutorial secrecy.
-Yesterday, Trump called a reporter who asked about the Epstein investigation screw ups a “piggy.” LINK
-Former Harvard Pres and Treasury Sec Lawrence Summers is “stepping away from public view” after being cited numerous times in the Epstein emails (in the most infamous, he is said to have asked Epstein for advice on how to romantically approach a student). Summers announced he will relinquish advisory positions at Yale, the Center for American Progress, and The New York Times following the release of emails showing he sought Jeffrey Epstein’s advice in 2018 and 2019 on pursuing an extramarital relationship with a Chinese economist he mentored. Summers, who was married during this period, expressed deep shame in a statement and plans to continue his teaching duties at Harvard. The disclosures, from Epstein’s estate documents released by the House Oversight Committee, have drawn bipartisan criticism, including calls from Sen. Elizabeth Warren for Harvard to sever ties, though no evidence links Summers to Epstein’s crimes.
-Ro Khanna says this will be helpful to the victims and will reveal important information. LINK
-Ann Coulter appeared for the first time today on Redacted, and offered very valuable legal observations about the bill and what one might expect for revelations. LINK

INTERNATIONAL - WAR

ISRAEL/GAZA:
-Trump just announced that he will head up the Gaza Reconstruction Authority — ie the NEW occupation and theft gang that will take over the corralled people of Palestine and run the poisoned area at the behest of Israel and special interests in the US and UK. Trump’s Sec to the UN (who participated in the “Slack” call while the US slaughtered Houthis in Yemen earlier this year) said before the UN vote that a vote against this would be a vote “for war”. He might note that the new zone in this “agreement” will be imposed on the Palestinians, that it is an extension of the war on them, and that Mr. Trump and Mr. Waltz swore to abide by the US Constitution, which doesn’t allow this or the supplying of weapons or funds to Israel. Russia and China abstained from the vote. Hamas is to be “disarmed” under this plan, which, essentially, is a new form of colonialism and will act to prevent the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and any force in Lebanon from uniting with the people in Gaza to form a real Palestinian state. This paves the way for a de facto Israeli-favoring satellite of the US that Israel will influence with corporate and military ties to the US. Here is Antiwar on it. LINK
-More insanity from the Zionist maniacs at the UN.
-Israeli National Security Minister Ben Gvir just openly called for the targeted assassination of leaders of the Palestinian Authority in The West Bank if any of the leaders call for an independent Palestinian state — and continuing the roll-out of increased Israeli pressure to take more and more of the area. -Germany has announced it will lift restrictions on arms exports to Israel following a Gaza ceasefire with Hamas.
-In a quick press meeting to discuss the coming vote on the release of the so-called Epstein Files, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) SLAMMED Donald Trump for his continued backing of Israel’s mass murder. LINK and LINK Here is more LINK
-The UK police continue to act at the MUZZLE to protect Israel’s genocide in Gaza, portraying as “supportive of terrorism” those who speak for peace. LINK Donald Trump and his “DOJ” also have issued his “National Security Memorandum” that lets his DOJ define “supportive of terrorism” or “anti-Christian” or “anti-capitalist” and prosecute people or silence the social media platforms on which they might communicate.
-ANOTHER strike by Israel on Lebanon, killing a teacher. LINK
SAUDI PRINCE VISIT:
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia came to the White House today, and Trump not only praised him, when asked about the Prince’s involvement with the 2018 killing and dismemberment of reporter Jamahl Khashogi, Trump said, “things happen…”
An ABC reporter asked him if it was appropriate for his family to be doing business with Saudi government interests while he is Prez and negotiating with the Prince, and she also asked about the murder, and Trump called ABC “fake news” and then threatened that the FCC should investigate the network and pull its license (why should the polis be demanding you get permission to broadcast?) UKRAINE:
- Natali Morris reports in the Redacted morning newsletter: “Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has joined the advisory board of Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point amid a major anti-corruption investigation into its contracts. They’re asking him to sort it out? The man who ordered an assassination on Julian Assange!?”
-Will the US and Russia engage in another “prisoner exchange”? LINK Would that be a sign of warming relations btwn the nations?
