WAR
UKRAINE: NBC reports that the US has warned the Ukrainian govt of impending collapse. As if that were not obvious. LINK Of course, this has a bearing on Ukraine’s view of US support, with another signal from the US that they must negotiate a peace or the peace will be brought through total capitulation to the military might of Russia. Trump added Jaredd Kushner to the “diplomatic” group that is on its way to Geneva to talk to Lavrov, possibly Putin, and, members of a Ukrainian negotiating team. The Trumpers seem to think that their fascist-corporate orientation can overcome thousands of years of Russian tradition, culture, religion, regional ties and much more. Within western Ukraine, that might be the case, but not in the Donbass, and not in Russia. LINK
The EU continues to push for seizing the 160 Billion Rubles that is “frozen” in a Brussels bank. This would be disastrous for all European banking institutions, removing any security that foreign nations might have for their own assets should they deposit any in any EU-based bank. LINK And, of all things, von Der Leyen had the gall to say that any “loan” to Ukraine from the EU will “follow” international law. The seizure of the Russian funds is, itself, a breach of international law. LINK
-A leaked call that included Witkoff and a Russian counterpart reveals that the US is pushing a partition of Ukraine (no kidding), with some kind of international “security” force handling the remains of the nation. LINK MORE, from ANTIWAR
-When asked about the phone call, Trump noted that Witkoff has to engage in some preliminary conversations to set the table, per se, about the ideas that might be more fruitful than others. LINK
-And, despite the widespread disapproval of Macron floating the idea of French troops going into Ukraine, many EU “leaders” are pushing a similar concept. The key question is whether or not these “EU” forces will be part of an international group that INCLUDES Russian forces or if these troops will be vassals of the EU, backing up a corporate kleptocracy that makes oodles on the “cleanup” and blocks Russian monitoring of the Ukrainian peace. -Von Der Leyen stresses EU points that have nothing to do with reality (vid from Judge Nap here LINK) and… Rutte intimates Ukraine joining NATO — INSANE. LINK
-One of the sticking points re any peace is that NATO-EU ideologues keep pushing for Ukraine to keep and run the Zaporizhzhia nuke plant. That is a bad idea. LINK
-German Chancellor Merz still pushes for more spending on his mil-ind friends in order to “show the Russians” that “victory” is unachievable. He is either insane or thinks people are stupid, or both, perhaps. He must know that the Russians are within months of total victory, and by dragging this out, more Ukrainians will die. Just evil. -Canada’s Chrystia Freeland, who was integral in attacking the Freedom Convoy, closing bank accounts, and supporting a Waffen SS trooper getting a standing ovation in Canada’s Parliament a couple years ago, just met with Zelinsky. LINK

ISRAEL:
-The death toll in Gaza now estimated to be over 100K (at a low). LINK the actual death toll likely is five to six times that number.
-The US and Israel ignobly stood against a UN condemnation and prohibition of torture — a proposal that received virtually universal acceptance and support in the GA. LINK
-This Israeli politician’s crazed promotion of the idea that, now that there are no hostages left, Israel ought to carpet-bomb Gaza, is emblematic of the majority sentiment in the Zionist state as shown by poll after poll. LINK
SPEAKER JOHNSON REVEALS HIS DISCONNECT FROM ANY SEMBLANCE OF MORALITY
-Check this out. As Chris Menehan of Information Liberation reports: “House Speaker Mike Johnson glazes Netanyahu as his favorite world leader, praises MBS for his “sense of humor,” then condemns right-wing ‘anti-Semitism.’
Netanyahu can do a genocide, MBS can chop a guy up, but Nick Fuentes needs to be condemned for his speech.”

VENEZUELA:
-Alistair Crooke makes a strong point on “Going Underground”, that the US debt is, in part, driving this insane attempt to topple Maduro. With the US facilitating massive corporate grabs of oil and other resources, the benefits likely will redound to the politicians who back any overthrow. However, Maduro already has offered massive corporate returns for many US and UK oil companies, and Trump and his warmongering cronies find that insufficient. They want Maduro out, facilitating even more grabs and, likely, the arrangement of US forces in Venezuela to use it as a leap-pad into other nations in South America. LINK
-This FLA Repub Congresswoman not only spouts nonsense about Maduro somehow shipping URANIUM to Russia, she lets the proverbial cat out of the bag that she loves the idea of the US and UK corporate nexus stealing Venezuelan assets. LINK

THE FBI ACTUALLY IS “PROBING” INTO THE SIX DEM LESGISLATORS WHO ADVIZED RE LAWFUL ORDERS. Seriously. LINK

-This Business Insider piece offers seven key measures to see that the horizon for the US economy is tilting DOWNWARD… Very valuable. LINK
US IMMIGRATION POLICE STATE
-I’d like to reiterate the information in this AP piece, which spells out how intensely the US government is monitoring US drivers as part of its immigration crackdown (and part of its larger push for greater and greater surveillance and destruction of federalism. LINK
-The number of migrants living in the US declined 1.4 million between January and June, and that was prior to Trump’s massive IC trooper invasion of numerous states. As the Fulcrum notes: That decline has already rippled through industries that depend heavily on immigrant workers, from construction and agriculture to food processing and caregiving.

TARIFF TERRORISM
-Again, it is important to stress how intensely Trump’s tariffs are harming US entrepreneurial health. Let’s look at manufacturing, again, as we did the other day on Liberty Conspiracy. We are talking eight straight months of downturns in manufacturing employment. “According to the Institute for Supply Management’s indices, the manufacturing industry has recorded eight consecutive months of contraction–coinciding with the first nine months of Trump’s term–a negative cycle unseen for years. The uncertainty created by tariffs, especially on intermediate goods, is prompting many companies to freeze hiring and investment. The Bureau of Labor Statistics, confirms this: in October alone, another 6,000 jobs were lost, bringing the total to 59,000 since April, when Donald Trump promised a wave of reshoring.” LINK
-Colorado Gov Polis has released a govt-funded study that shows how harshly the Trump tariffs are hitting state-based businesses. “OEDIT’s interviews with Colorado employers across construction, technology, retail, bioscience, energy, and manufacturing found that tariffs are siphoning funds away from research, innovation, hiring, and wages. Of all the challenges that tariffs impose on businesses, the financial and cost challenges associated with them were reported to be the top concern. This result highlights the direct monetary harm of tariffs, which includes tariff payments on imports, warehousing, and increased personnel costs, as well as the diversion of funds from key areas such as R&D. Furthermore, tariffs have created uncertainty, planning issues, and delays in investments due to the unpredictable nature of these policies, which make strategic long-term planning difficult. Business leaders’ level of confidence in their ability to plan plummeted from 8.7/10 (before tariffs) to 2.4/10 (after tariffs), one of the largest loss margins in the survey. Small businesses — already operating with thin margins — reported the greatest pain, facing “agonizing choices” between cutting salaries, delaying investment, or closing altogether.” LINK
