-Speaker Johnson claims ignorance about the US controversy over Hegseth, the US military, and Trump engaging in double-taps in the Caribbean. He also has no comment on the even more obvious war crime of the first hit, and the unconstitutional nature of the US aggression in the region. LINK

-Pentagon Spokes-puppet Kingsley Wilson circuitously pushes blame for the “double-tap” (the first tap was a crime) on the Admiral. Here is what I got to say about it on X LINK “That is a way to create the impression of ‘the buck stops here’ while still passing the responsibility/guilt onto the Admiral, setting him up for solo sacrifice.”
-Another Hegseth horror. He is speaking about the murders LINK Here is what I had to offer: “He seems trapped within a mental cage he created for himself, trapped by nervous egotism, self-puffery, false patriotism, and utter, intentional, ignorance of the US Constitution, the Rules of War as recognized by the US, and deeper ethics, which opposes the war against us that he pushes to make us pay for his swaggering mass murder.”

The Congress never declared War, nor did it issue Letters of Marque and Reprisal to go after non-state opponents. The drug statutes are unconstitutional, and his slick language, framing the second strike within a larger universe of ‘eliminating the threat’ is indicative of a desperate attempt to obfuscate by removing specificity.”

IMMIGRATION POLICE STATE
-The Trump Admin yesterday fired eight New York City immigration judges.
This action occurred amid a broader purge, with more than 100 immigration judges dismissed or pushed out nationwide since Trump’s inauguration in January 2025, often targeting those perceived as too lenient by administration allies. The fired judges appear to belong to a group that has historically ruled more favorably toward migrants’ rights to remain in the U.S., based on available data about their asylum grant rates and professional backgrounds. For context, national asylum grant rates (including other forms of relief) have hovered around 40-50% in recent years, but many fired judges exceed this significantly. One of the dismissed judges, Amiena A. Khan (Assistant Chief Immigration Judge at 26 Federal Plaza), granted asylum or relief in 89.6% of cases from fiscal years 2019-2024, denying only 10.3%—far more lenient than the national average. This pattern aligns with the administration’s focus on removing judges with immigrant defense experience (e.g., prior work as asylum attorneys), who comprise 44% of those fired but only 26% of remaining judges. Earlier 2025 firings in NYC similarly targeted judges with the highest grant rates, such as David Kim (top in the city through 2024) and others with comparatively low denial rates. In contrast, Trump-preferred judges (often with prosecutorial backgrounds) tend to have denial rates above 70-90%. One of the fired NYC judges has already filed a discrimination lawsuit, claiming the termination was retaliatory.
**And we want to recall that the Trump administration has announced and begun implementing a plan to task hundreds of military lawyers—primarily from the Judge Advocate General (JAG) corps, Army Reserve, and National Guard—to serve as temporary immigration judges in the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the DOJ division that oversees immigration courts. This initiative was first reported in early September 2025, following a late August rule change that relaxed qualifications for temporary judges, allowing “any attorney” to be appointed without prior immigration experience. The stated goal is to address a backlog of over 3.4 million cases amid ramped-up enforcement, potentially doubling the current ~600 permanent judges through these six-month (renewable) stints. As of late October 2025, the DOJ had appointed 25 such temporary military lawyers as part of its first 2025 class, with at least 18 still actively serving in the military, and some already beginning to hear cases. The Pentagon approved detailing up to 600 in total, with recruitment ongoing into November. Critics, including legal experts and advocacy groups, have raised concerns about the lack of immigration expertise among these appointees (often limited to brief JAG training), potential violations of laws like the Posse Comitatus Act (which limits military involvement in civilian law enforcement), and the risk of politicizing the courts further, especially alongside the firing of over 100 experienced judges. Congressional Democrats have also sent letters questioning the legality. No full rollout of all 600 has been reported as of December 2, 2025, but the process is actively underway.
