A DARK ANNIVERSARY - SIGNING OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT

On this day in 1913, President Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act into law, a disastrous move that reshaped American finance and entrenched central planning in the monetary system longer than all other dumb central banking systems the Congress passed going back to the foolish Alexander Hamilton and his Bank of he United States.
As we mark the Fed’s 112th anniversary today, it’s worth reflecting on the legislation not as a progressive triumph, but as a pernicious alliance between government and banking elites, one that Austrian economists like Ludwig von Mises and Friedrich Hayek have critiqued for fostering chronic economic distortions.
Congressman Charles Lindbergh Sr., a staunch critic, delivered a prophetic warning on the House floor just before the Act’s passage. He declared: “The new law will create inflation whenever the trusts want inflation. It may not do so immediately, but the trusts want a period of inflation, because all the stocks they hold have gone down... Now, if the trusts can get another period of inflation, they figure they can unload the stocks on the people at high prices during the excitement and then bring on a panic and buy them back at low prices.…The people may not know it immediately, but the day of reckoning is only a few years removed.”
Lindbergh further lambasted the Act as establishing “the most gigantic trust on earth,” legalizing an “invisible government of the monetary power” that would manipulate cycles for the benefit of insiders. He foresaw how this cartel would orchestrate boom-bust episodes, enabling politically connected magnates—bankers, industrial trusts, and their cronies—to inflate asset values during expansions, offload overvalued holdings to the unsuspecting public, and then trigger contractions to repurchase at bargain prices, consolidating wealth and control.
At the heart of this peril lies the unholy tie between the polis—the state’s coercive machinery—and the money supply. Governments, driven by fiscal profligacy and electoral expediency, invariably inflate the currency to finance deficits and stimulate illusory growth. The Federal Reserve, as a quasi-public entity, accommodates this by expanding credit through fractional reserve banking and open market operations, untethering money from sound anchors like gold. This floods the economy with fiat liquidity, artificially lowering interest rates and signaling false profitability.
Malinvestments proliferate: entrepreneurs chase unsustainable ventures in housing, stocks, or speculative industries, misallocating scarce resources. A phony boom emerges, characterized by soaring asset bubbles and consumer price inflation that erodes savings and wages. Yet, as Mises explained in his theory of the business cycle, such distortions cannot endure. Rising prices strain consumers, interest rates correct upward, and the edifice crumbles. The bust ensues—recession, bankruptcies, unemployment, and forced liquidation of malinvested capital. Assets plummet, allowing the well-connected to acquire them cheaply, as Lindbergh predicted.
History vindicates this view. The Roaring Twenties’ credit-fueled excess, courtesy of the Fed, culminated in the 1929 crash and Great Depression. Similar patterns replayed in the dot-com bust, the 2008 financial crisis, and recent inflationary surges post-2020. Each episode enriches the elite while burdening the masses with debt and devaluation.
Morality demands abolishing this monopoly, restoring free banking and commodity-backed money. Until then, the Federal Reserve perpetuates a rigged game, where booms flatter the powerful and busts punish the productive. As Lindbergh intuited, this is no accident but engineered exploitation.

UKRAINE
Mike Pompeo danced with Zionist occupiers in Israel, worked with the US to maintain the pro-Nazi government of Ukraine that the US installed in early 2014, pushed censorship of those of us who tried to tell the truth of NATO’s evil expansion, and now is on the advisory board of a Ukrainian arms maker (Fire Point, also known as Vognyeva Tochka). That just happens to be Ukraine’s BIGGEST defense company specializing in drones, long-range missiles like the Flamingo, and other military hardware. But here, we see him pushing for more war with Putin, more arms and cash to Ukraine… LINK As I noted in my response to him Fire Point, which rapidly expanded amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict, is under scrutiny for corruption allegations, including investigations by Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation. He is calling for more warlike US (and Israeli) action against Iran. Keen observer Patrick Henningsen pokes at Pompeo’s drastically recent thinness and tan here, but the content of Pompeo’s statement is even more stomach-turning. LINK

IRAN
This follows on the heels of Lindsay Graham calling for the same thing for Iran (as he claims that Iran cannot enrich ANY nuclear fuel, which runs counter to Iran’s long-standing international agreements), with Trump and Netanyahu scheduled to meet on the 29th in DC… likely to agree to attack. How nice, how peaceful, how constitutional…
-Huckabee continues the insanity. LINK

ISRAEL

-Greta Thunberg today was arrested in London for holding up a sign that read “I support the Palestine Action Prisoners, I Oppose Genocide” LINK
-Also in the UK, a judge just crushed Reginald Hunter’s antisemitism charge. He is finally free. LINK
When Nick Rudd confronted Ben Shapiro for his Zionist thirst to have the US support that terror-genocide state, specifically focusing on the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, Shapiro not only lied, he was utterly dismissive (in a clearly defensive way) of the concern and of the question. Here is some background on the Israeli attack — info Shapiro evidently doesn’t want people to know: LINK (That’s Scott Horton and Daryll Cooper), MORE LINK MORE LINK
-Brown University estimates that beyond the $3.8 BILLION per year that the US has been giving to Israel since 2016 (with the Obama-signed ARBITRARY EXECUTIVE ACTION called the “Memorandum of Understanding”) has provided $33.77 BIL to Israel’s war machine since Oct 7, 2023. This does not include US actions such as its support for Syrian overthrow and US attacks on Iran. LINK
—More on the 2016 “Memorandum of Understanding”:
It is a “non-legally binding” executive agreement” between the U.S. and Israeli governments, signed on September 14, 2016, by representatives of the Obama administration and the Israeli government.

  • MOUs of this type are political commitments, not treaties (which would require Senate ratification by a two-thirds vote) or laws enacted by Congress. They outline intended levels of aid ($38 billion total over FY2019–2028, averaging ~$3.8 billion annually) but explicitly remain subject to congressional appropriation each year.

  • Congress has no direct role in approving or ratifying the MOU itself. Instead, it funds the aid annually through appropriations bills (e.g., the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act or consolidated appropriations acts), where it has consistently provided funding at or above the MOU levels.

  • Later legislation, such as Section 1273 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (P.L. 116-283), authorized (but did not require) “not less than” $3.3 billion annually in Foreign Military Financing through 2028, aligning with the MOU terms for planning purposes. This was affirming legislation, not the basis for the MOU itself.

Not a penny of that is constitutionally used or morally acquired.

VENEZUELA

As I noted on X, responding to Trump’s statement that the US (“we”) will “keep” the oil he has stolen from two tankers: “This is a good example of the canard of statism. Not only is Trump committing multiple moral crimes, he has breached his US Constitution and multiple international agreements. And, if one looks at it more philosophically/logically, one might ask him who this “we” is... Can I get some of this stolen oil? How much? If I try to get some, won’t I be fighting against others who want what Trump just told us belongs to the political-collective fantasy of the We/Us? Statism is unworkable, immoral, and a fraud.” LINK

IMMIGRATION POLICE STATE

Hey! How about a mix-in, a “fold-in” on the new zealous Zionists at CBS? - Recall that CBS brass pulled key segments from a 60 Minutes story on ICE and the CECOT detention facility in El Salvador. LINK Max Blumenthal offers key information on this CBS activity and its long-standing position as one of the many conduits for federal propaganda. LINK He also appeared with Judge Napolitano to discuss this, here: LINK
