In one of the most bald-facedly cynical moves since Mr. “Anti-Drug” Trump’s release of the former Honduran Prez who was convicted of drug dealing, the US has placed “sanctions” (sans due process, or even an accusation of a crime) on members of the EU for THEIR suppression of free speech. First, Mr. Trump’s edict does not include members of the UK government, yet it comes 48 hours after Greta Thunberg was arrested in London for holding a sign saying she supported the “Palestine Action PRISONERS” and she “opposed GENOCIDE”. Evidently, that kind of speech suppression is fine — it’s when the EU unjustly targets Elon Musk’s X, a large corporation with lots of influence in the US — that Trump puts on his show and selectively shows umbrage. -For the curious, let’s consider that the Trump Admin also has “sanctioned” UN human rights rapporteur Francesca Albanese, the members of the ICC who have cited Netanyahu and Israel for War Crimes, and numerous Russian business people. No trials, just punishments, revocations of visas in some cases, and the prevention of many of these people to come to the US to… SPEAK in public. But remember, Mr. Trump and Mr. Vance love free speech. That’s also why his FCC chair, Brendan Carr, is going to appoint a “truth ombudsman” to monitor news reports from CBS. Because… FREE SPEECH, SEE? Of course we do. Here’s some background to remember.
US “SANCTIONS” ON PEOPLE
The US government, through the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), has sanctioned thousands of individuals over the past two years (from December 24, 2023, to today, December 24, 2025). The full comprehensive list is extensive and can be searched on the mind-numbing OFAC website using their Sanctions List Search tool or by reviewing recent actions and the SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) list (then, you can try to find such a power in the US CON-stitution, and you won’t, of course), which is updated regularly.
Here are some examples of individuals sanctioned during this period, based on publicly available announcements (with dates and brief context where available):

• Nikita Aleksandrovich Sobolev (sanctioned in December 2025; Russia-related, under Executive Order 14024).

• Igor Borisovich Aksenov (sanctioned in August 2024; Russia-related, under Executive Order 14024).

• Farid Khabibullovich Abdrakhmanov (sanctioned in February 2024; Russia-related).

• Gleb Sergeyevich Cherbov (sanctioned in August 2024; Russia-related, under Executive Order 14024).

• Kyriakos Attikouris (sanctioned in April 2023, but included in ongoing Russia-related updates in 2024; sanctions evasion).

These are just a small sample; major actions in 2024 alone targeted over 1,700 Russian persons (including individuals and entities), with plenty more from other nations, like Iran.

MORE Seized Ships:
The US government has seized numerous vessels in the past two years, primarily tankers related to Venezuelan, Iranian, or Russian oil trade. No new Russian yachts were seized during this period—the high-profile ones (like Amadea and Tango) were seized in 2022 and have seen ongoing legal and sale proceedings in 2024-2025, but not new seizures. Here are the known seizures from December 24, 2023, to now:

The SKIPPER, seized Dec 10 - An oil tanker sanctioned for ties to Iran; seized off Venezuela while carrying Venezuelan crude oil bound for China. Part of efforts to enforce sanctions on so-called “shadow fleet” vessels.
The CENTURIES, seized Dec 20 - A Panama-flagged oil tanker carrying approximately 1.8 million barrels of Venezuelan Merey crude oil (loaded under the false name “Crag”); seized east of Barbados in the Caribbean Sea as part of the same sanctions enforcement operation against Venezuelan oil exports.
Note: As we reported this week, a third vessel, The Bella 1 (sanctioned since June 2024 for GHASSSSSTLY “Iranian oil ties”), was being pursued as of December 2025 but not confirmed seized at the time of this query. No other major ship or yacht seizures by the US were reported in 2024.
What US Sanctions Generally Entail:

• Asset Freeze: Any property or interests in property (e.g., bank accounts, real estate, investments) in the US or under US jurisdiction are blocked and cannot be transferred, withdrawn, or dealt with. In other words, the stuff is stolen by the US.

• Transaction Prohibitions: US persons (citizens, residents, companies, or anyone in the US) are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions or dealings with the sanctioned individual, including providing services, goods, or funds.

• Secondary Sanctions Risk: Non-US persons may face sanctions if they provide material support or engage in certain transactions with the sanctioned individual.

• Travel Restrictions: Often accompanied by visa bans or ineligibility for entry into the US.

• Other Measures: Depending on the program, this could include export controls, financial restrictions, or designations under specific authorities (e.g., for human rights abuses via the Global Magnitsky Act).

These measures are enforced through civil and criminal penalties for violations.
US DEPORTATIONS OF STUDENTS
Based on U.S. State Department actions in 2025, over 8,000 foreign students attending U.S. universities had their visas revoked, which typically leads to deportation proceedings if they are in the country. These revocations were part of a broader “sweep” targeting individuals deemed to pose safety concerns, specifically linked to expressions of support for Hamas or the Palestinian cause, such as participation in pro-Palestine protests or online statements slyly and corruptly portrayed as “endorsing/supporting terrorism.” This tyranny was fueled by AI tools to identify such free speech from these targets, starting with smaller numbers earlier in the year (e.g., around 300-500 in April, rising to 6,000 by August) and escalating to the final tally by December. Not all cases resulted in immediate deportation, as some students were abroad or challenged the decisions legally, but the visa revocations represent attempts to deport them. This was part of a larger revocation of 95,000 visas overall in 2025, including for speech outside universities, for work, and sundry other completely arbitrary reasons — all while the “visa” concept doesn’t even appear in the US Constitution.

STRONGARMING UNIVERSITIES
As we know, the feds are not supposed to be offering grants to schools, or loans to students. ZIP, ZERO, NADA. Yet Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) at the start of the Trump Admin commanded heads of numerous schools to “testify” about how they “didn’t police ‘antisemitism’ sufficiently” on their campuses — said “antisemitism” actually NOT antisemitism at all, but calls for peace in Palestine, and even if there were real “antisemitism” that would not be something the feds could prohibit, because the FIRST AMENDMENT exists.
The Trump Administration, through the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, initiated investigations into 60 universities in early 2025 for alleged “failures to address antisemitic harassment and discrimination on campus,” often tied to post-October 7, 2023, peace rallies. These investigations stemmed from th einsanely unconstitutional Executive Order 14188 (”Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism”) and involved warnings of potential enforcement under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. According to the “Justice Department,” a “Federal Task Force” also visited 10 of these campuses.
Members of Congress, particularly through the House Committee on Education and the Workforce (said committee having utterly ZERO tie to any enumerated power in their “rule book” of the Constitution), cited several universities in hearings and reports from 2023-2025 for similar issues, often overlapping with the DoE list (e.g., Harvard, Columbia, Penn). Congressional citations focused on a smaller group (around 10-15 prominent ones like those in the 2023 hearing and subsequent reports), but the total unique universities cited by either Congress or the Trump Administration aligns with the 60 under formal DoE investigation. As Antiwar notes (remember, they are doing a fundraiser at the site, and you can help!): “Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz vowed on Tuesday that the Israeli military will “never leave all of Gaza” and will eventually establish settlements in the northern part of the Strip.

“We are deep inside Gaza and will never leave all of Gaza – that will not happen. We are here to defend and to prevent what happened,” Katz said during an event in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. LINK

UKRAINE
Mike Pompeo danced with Zionist occupiers in Israel, worked with the US to maintain the pro-Nazi government of Ukraine that the US installed in early 2014, pushed censorship of those of us who tried to tell the truth of NATO’s evil expansion, and now is on the advisory board of a Ukrainian arms maker (Fire Point, also known as Vognyeva Tochka). That just happens to be Ukraine’s BIGGEST defense company specializing in drones, long-range missiles like the Flamingo, and other military hardware. But here, we see him pushing for more war with Putin, more arms and cash to Ukraine… LINK As I noted in my response to him Fire Point, which rapidly expanded amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict, is under scrutiny for corruption allegations, including investigations by Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation. He is calling for more warlike US (and Israeli) action against Iran. Keen observer Patrick Henningsen pokes at Pompeo’s drastically recent thinness and tan here, but the content of Pompeo’s statement is even more stomach-turning. LINK

This follows on the heels of Lindsay Graham calling for the same thing for Iran (as he claims that Iran cannot enrich ANY nuclear fuel, which runs counter to Iran’s long-standing international agreements), with Trump and Netanyahu scheduled to meet on the 29th in DC… likely to agree to attack. How nice, how peaceful, how constitutional…

FINALLY - CHRISTMAS EVE… WORLD WAR ONE… PEACE - FOR A MOMENT

In the frozen hell of the Western Front, amid the mechanized slaughter of World War One, a flicker of humanity defied the statist war machines on Christmas Eve, 1914.
