…What is the ACIP? Ahh, yes, this is where we can see the ugly accretion of government largess and preference, diktat and rent-seeking, as Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon…
ACIP stands for the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. It is a federal advisory committee under the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The committee consists of medical and public health experts who develop evidence-based recommendations on the use of vaccines and immunizations for the civilian population in the United States. These include guidance on vaccine schedules (for children/adolescents and adults), appropriate timing, dosages, target populations, precautions, and contraindications. Once adopted by the CDC director (and sometimes the Secretary of Health and Human Services), ACIP recommendations become official federal policy, published in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), and influence immunization practices, insurance coverage, school requirements, and clearly unconstitutional and immoral programs like Vaccines for Children. The linked article discusses an upcoming ACIP meeting on March 18-19, where topics are scheduled to include COVID-19 vaccine injuries and the committee’s recommendation methodology. It frames this in the context of recent changes to ACIP membership under Health Secretary Robert F.
