-In the aftermath of the first killings of hundreds of innocent children, adults, and the murder of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and many in his family, the functional Iranian government operates smoothly, under the Iranian Constitution’s formula for defense. Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, president of Islamic Seminaries of Iran, has been appointed to the Interim Leadership Council (or Temporary Leadership Council), a three-member body that currently serves as the de facto collective head of state in Iran. It was established on March 1. The council temporarily assumes the duties and powers of the Supreme Leader until the Assembly of Experts (an 88-member clerical body) selects and appoints a permanent successor. The arrangement is in Article 111 of Iran’s Constitution, which outlines procedures for a vacancy in the Supreme Leadership to ensure continuity of governance. Here is the current three-man panel:
Masoud Pezeshkian — The current President of Iran (generally viewed as a moderate or reformist-leaning figure).
Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i — The Chief Justice (head of the judiciary), known for hardline conservative positions.
Ayatollah Alireza Arafi — Senior cleric, jurist from the Guardian Council (and reportedly its selected representative for this role), often described as a radical or firebrand anti-American figure; he also holds positions like deputy chairman of the Assembly of Experts in some reports. (I have heard that he now supports developing a nuclear weapon, but, in my research, I have not found any evidence to support that claim.)

-At this time, the death toll in Iran stands at appx 787, with 168 (mostly children) killed in last Saturday’s US slaughter-bombing of Shajareh Tayyebeh (or similar spelling) girls’ elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan province, southern Iran.
-Marco Rubio claimed that the US attacked Iran because Israel was going to attack Iran and Iran might hit the US after being hit by Israel. Utterly insane blather to lay cover for pure aggression, anti-constitutional military action, and mass-murder. Trump and Netanyahu clearly worked together for weeks. Israel is not powerful enough on its own to attack Iran with conventional weapons, and its military would not have moved first to attack without coordination with the US.
Rubio ALSO claimed that, get this: ‘“We can’t notify 535 members of Congress,” Rubio said. “Congress can vote on whatever they want, but there’s no law that requires us to do that.”’ Which, of course, completely reframes the system the Constitution contains, hiding the re-working inside a comical claim about not being able to “notify” members of Congress prior to a President unilaterally acting. The Constitution is clear: Congress Declares War, with a CAPITAL W, because War is a long-understood term that supposedly encompasses certain rules, such as not targeting civilians, treating prisoners with dignity and in a humane way, not torturing, not stealing civilian land, etc. Of course, through the millennia, many soldiers and their commanders have not abided by that standard, but that IS the standard, and it is the reason why Alberto Gonzales got Congress to disregard a Declaration of War in 2002 and got them to pass the nonsensical “Authorization to Use Military Force” (AUMF), rather than the Dec of War Ron Paul had offered (despite Paul openly stating he would oppose the action and vote against ANY military action) to keep them on record as having dismissed the real standard of the US Constitution.
Curiously, Rubio is not alone in this criminal deception. Justin Amash had to remind talk show host “Joe Pags” about this fundamental DECLARATION OF WAR fact:

-Trump is embarking on a new LIE, claiming that Iran was SOOOO CLOSE to developing a “ballistic missile threat” he had to get to it and kill-kill-kill. Yet, that isn’t what his own “Intel Community” said. Here is key info, from The Islander News:
’“Their missiles soon would’ve been able to reach America. The ballistic missile program was growing rapidly and dramatically — this posed a clear and dramatic threat to our forces.” — Donald Trump.
The Defense Intelligence Agency published a missile threat assessment in May 2025 stating Iran could develop a long-range missile capable of reaching the United States by 2035 — at the earliest — if it chooses to pursue it and Iran denounced this repeatedly. Trump administration officials acknowledged in closed-door briefings with congressional staff that there was no intelligence suggesting Iran planned to attack US forces first. The pretext was a lie. The intelligence community said so. The Pentagon said so. In writing. On the record.
This is the man who launched the largest American military operation in the Middle East since 2003 — killing Iran’s Supreme Leader, closing the Strait of Hormuz, putting 51,400 troops in hotels, burning through irreplaceable missile and Patriot interceptor stocks, and handing China the justification to permanently rethink its rare earth pause — on the basis of a threat his own Defence Intelligence Agency said was a decade away and his own Pentagon confirmed was fabricated. The incompetent moron in the baseball cap at Mar-a-Lago told the world Iran could soon reach America. His intelligence agencies told Congress the opposite. Only one of those statements started a war. Only one of them was true. And the Strait is closed, the radar that watches Russian launches is heavily damaged, a minimum of 560 Americans are killed and wounded, Iran will not negotiate, and the man who said we’d finish it fast just told the New York Times he won’t rule out ground troops — in a country his own DIA said posed no imminent threat to the American homeland.
Congratulations, Donald. You may have started WWIII over a missile that doesn’t exist yet. How’s that working out? Just stop talking, you humiliate a great country when you do, and you’ve never looked more weak. Thanks for betraying America First.’

At least six American soldiers have been killed and U.S. officials are finally admitting that the U.S. struck Iran because they knew that Israel was going to do it anyway. At least we all can admit that the war is happening at the will of Israel.
Tucker Carlson reports that Mossad agents were arrested for plotting bombing campaigns by officials in Saudi Arabia and Qatar over the weekend so who exactly is bombing U.S. allies? We can’t know yet but it is increasingly apparent that the U.S. is not at the wheel here. President Trump doesn’t help this perception by excitedly announcing Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s appearance on Fox News.
So while the war propaganda rolls on, how will the U.S. fair in this war, alongside a partner that plays dirty? Israel struck civilian areas inside of Tehran on Monday in what civilians are describing as a Double Tap strike. This means that they strike in an area and then strike again when rescue workers come in. It’s a war crime.
On Monday evening, Admiral Brad Cooper, the top U.S. military officer at Central Command sent this letter to the 50,000 American troops that are in harm’s way. It may be intended as motivational and reverent, but it offers no clear objective, trigger, or strategic rationale for the deployment beyond vague references to the Iranian regime and protecting Americans. It suggests a tragic certainty that has been woven throughout U.S. propaganda all weekend: human lives are being risked without a clearly articulated purpose.’
