PATRIOT’S DAY

Here is an opportunity to think about the fight for freedom so many engaged, 251 years ago, with the battles of Lexington and Concord… Thank you, Michael B of The Tenth Amendment Center! On this PATRIOT’S DAY, some folks who started in the military and might still be in it are being arrested for protesting the unconstitutional and immoral war machine of the US. God, please, bless them all.

WARIRAN

Witkoff and Kushner are reported to be headed to Pakistan for “talks” that Iranian officials already said are non-starters because the IDF already had breached the Lebanon ceasefire, the US attacked a freighter yesterday, and the US demands Iran give up important ballistic missile defense and nuclear energy production. The “ceasefire” between the US and Iran is set to expire Wednesday. Trump’s approach is to threaten. HEADLINE: “Trump Threatens To ‘Blow Up’ the ‘Whole Country’ of Iran if Deal Not Reached - News From Antiwar.com” LINK

And Trump again changes his narrative and claims he is attacking Iran over nuke weapons. He claimed he set back Iran by years when he also made up a story last year and attacked a nuclear energy facility, potentially putting millions of people in danger of radioactive fallout. Then, he claimed he was engaging in attempted “regime change” because he felt so strongly about the “people” of Iran, even though the ‘protests’ there were subsidized by the US and Israel, they were armed by the US, and had advice from Mossad agents, as Mike Pompeo admitted four months ago. Trump then went back to the nuke weapons argument, then, when he attacked Iran and Iran responded by closing the Strait of Hormuz to US-Israeli-tied traffic, Trump said he was attacking Iran because Iran closed the Strait. It looks like the Iranian government cannot escape his perfidy. In fact, even when they engage in “negotiations” he or the Israelis assassinate the Iranian negotiators, and present demands that Iran cannot abide, demands such as ZERO nuclear enrichment in Iran! Here is Trump, today, making more nonsense… The Talking Heads once sang, “Stop making sense, making sense.” Trump fulfills that, in spades

And, of course, the MAGA-Mind tells us that the Iranian government is repressive and evil, as if, even if that were true, that gave the MAGA mind the ethical authority to demand that you pay for their crusade against “eeeevil”. SO, how come Mike Huckabee is, basically, letting this act of desecration (one of many by the IDF) slide?

Since Lebanon is mixed with the Iranian-US-Israeli issue, here is more evidence of IDF attack-desecration of Christian sites (not that those are the only important matter, of course, or the MOST important, but I want to provide this evidence in case people who back the IDF tell you this recent attack on the Statue of Christ is an anomaly)

From 2024:

But, whatever one does, one should not think that the US backs war crimes or engages in them… The Judge and Scott Ritter touch on that twisted mindset, as we see Mike Waltz conveniently claim that hitting electricity generation plants and rail lines and desalinization plants in a desert locale that is a target of US aggression — that such activity is not criminal.

MORE:

According to Larry Johnson, forces in the White House witnessed Trump wanting to use the nuclear codes, to nuke areas of Iran. This could be true, or it could be a message from the Trumpers to threaten Iran, or it could be an attempt by disgruntled Trump staff to add more fuel to his removal fire.

The economics are unraveling in the Middle East. Kuwait is announcing “Force Majeure” because it cannot supply oil, and if it cannot continue to supply oil via delivery through ships, it (and other nations likely will follow) will decrease production, which will have long-term ramifications for supply. Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) knows how to define your security for you, and also knows that you are made better off by him forcing you to pay more for virtually everything.

This is a global problem, as Daniel McAdams explained at noon today on the Ron Paul Liberty Report. Everything from fuel to ship insurance is skyrocketing, in some cases more than 100% in six weeks. LINK

MORE ON LEBANON

The IDF has established a Gaza-like “Yellow Line” (something so ambiguously defined in the occupied Gaza that people often can’t be sure where it is, and the IDF murderers use that as pretext to kill) in southern Lebanon. And within that, IDF soldiers are occupying homes, stealing, mocking the former owners.

Those bases will claim for Israel gas resources that are owned by Lebanese people.

Here is how a city of 30,000 people was pulverized by the IDF. The Zionist machine now it attempting to occupy the area and wider region south of the Litani River.

DOMESTIC FASCISM - THE FDA

Many folks in the US end up arguing the merits or demerits of a particular drug when it comes to the federal government “allowing” people to voluntarily ingest such substances. On their polis-based “constitutional” level, this is prohibited by the so-called “rules” of the Constitution. The states would have to vote for an Amendment to allow for such prohibition. But, more important and more fundamental, no one has a right, even if they put it into a “Constitution”, to tell others that they can or cannot ingest something - an act that brings no harm to another person. Here, Joe Rogan, despite being all over the map on politics, makes a valid point about the prohibition of psychedelics in the 1970s… LINK from ABC

TARIFF TERRORISM

As we discussed last week, today begins the “door is open, not really to you” process for business owners to apply for return of the tariff taxes they had to pay on imported goods after Trump unconstitutionally imposed them last year. In February, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump (consolidated with Trump v. V.O.S. Selections, Inc.) that IEEPA does not authorize the President to impose tariffs, only to “block products” for the purpose of what he calls “national security”. That, latter, also is unconstitutional, but the Supreme Court continued to promote that nonsense. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion (joined by Justices Sotomayor, Kagan, Gorsuch, Barrett, and Jackson). The Court held that the statutory phrase “regulate … importation” in IEEPA (50 U.S.C. § 1702(a)(1)(B)) does not include the power to levy tariffs or duties. On the face of the IEEPA, the SCOTUS is correct. The “International Emergency Economic Powers Act” of 1977 (Pub. L. 95-223; codified at 50 U.S.C. §§ 1701 et seq.), magically allows the President, after declaring a “national emergency” (however he wants to define it — try finding that in the US Constitution) with respect to an “unusual and extraordinary threat to U.S. national security, foreign policy, or economy that has its source in substantial part outside the United States”, to “investigate, regulate, or prohibit” various economic transactions, including “importation or exportation of … any property in which any foreign country or a national thereof has any interest.” Congress members at the time claimed that they enacted IEEPA to curb the broader emergency powers that had existed under the Trading with the Enemy Act while still giving the executive flexible tools for genuine peacetime emergencies. In other words, they wanted to skirt the US Constitution beyond the breach of the Trading with the Enemy Act. How nice of them…

After the SCOTUS ruling in Feb, Trump’s pirates immediately shifted to an equally unconstitutional 1960s statute, to reimpose some of their tariff taxes. The 1960s-era statute (actually a subsection of a statute) is Section 232 of the Orwellian “Trade Expansion Act” of 1962 (Pub. L. 87-794; codified at 19 U.S.C. § 1862). This subsection authorizes the President, after an investigation and determination by the Secretary of Commerce that an article is being imported “in such quantities or under such circumstances as to threaten to impair the national security,” (defined by him) to “adjust the imports” of that article. Adjustments can include imposing tariffs, quotas, or other restrictions (or negotiating voluntary export restraints with “trading partners” - notice how the government doesn’t allow YOU to decide your trading partners, they put it into statist terms, negating individual choice and action). It is the primary statute presidents have used for “national security”–based tariffs (e.g., Trump’s steel/aluminum tariffs in his first term and certain product-specific tariffs in his second term), and it, also, is unconstitutional, because it grants to the Chief Executive the power to unilaterally impose tariffs based on his belief or proffered rationale of “national security.” In the first case, full blocks are allowed by the IEEPA, so the SCOTUS ruled that Trump could not use it to impose tariff taxes, but such blocks are unconstitutional, overall. In the latter case, of the “Trade Expansion Act”, which is not a “trade expansion” but grants the Pres power to RESTRICT trade, the US Constitution doesn’t grant the Congress power to cede its power to the Executive Branch (hence the difference in names btwn the LEGSILATIVE and EXECUTIVE Branches!)

Now, big companies with big legal teams will be able to try to recover some of the cash they had to pay. Small companies and end-consumers? Nope.

KEVIN HASSETT AND HIS ENDLESS ECONOMIC CLOWN SHOW

National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett has portrayed the Trump administration’s policies as unleashing immediate U.S. oil capacity, American economic dominance, and substantial tax relief via the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Here is the video from his recent clown show, which you will find linked via David Stockman (below)

These claims, however, overlook policy legacies, economic realities, and fiscal trade-offs. Hassett asserts the U.S. oil industry has ready capacity to supply the world with far more crude. Yet Biden-era restrictions significantly retarded exploration and recovery. The administration canceled ANWR leases, restricted over 74% of the Arctic Coastal Plain, and imposed leasing pauses and environmental rules in the Gulf of Mexico. Even with Trump’s November 2025 reversals and congressional action in December 2025, new offshore and ANWR projects typically require 4–10 years from lease to production due to permitting, infrastructure, and drilling timelines. Baker Hughes rig counts in April 2026 hover near 543–548 (down 7% year-over-year), with EIA forecasting U.S. crude output essentially flat at ~13.61 million barrels per day in 2026. Meaningful supply growth will not materialize for at least another year. LINK

Hassett also credits the U.S. as the primary driver of the world economy. While the U.S. leads in nominal GDP ($32.4 trillion projected for 2026), China holds the top spot by purchasing-power parity ($44.3 trillion) and dominates manufacturing and global commodity demand. China’s scale exerts greater influence on worldwide growth and supply chains. LINK

Finally, Hassett claims retirees and tip earners will average $5,500 (based on his statements of the upper and lower “tax savings” and dividing by 2) in tax savings from the Big Beautiful Bill. The legislation offers a temporary $6,000 senior deduction and tip-income relief (up to $25,000), yet analyses show far more modest average benefits—often around $670 for many seniors and lower for typical tip workers after phase-outs and brackets. Critically, Hassett omits the bill’s massive fiscal cost: independent estimates project it adds roughly $3.4 trillion to federal deficits over a decade. Higher borrowing will pressure the Federal Reserve to monetize debt, risking renewed inflation and eroding real gains. LINK

Hassett’s sunny narrative deserves tempering with these grounded realities.

Here is U of Chicago Pro Robert Pape on the truth about US energy provision, from his appearance today on Redacted.

Curiously, Fed-Cher-man Powell said in March that in 2025 there was ZERO net private job creation

HOME PRICES ARE READY FOR A CRASH

Oh, and you know how Trump and Congress pushed that 2020 “CARES” act boondoggle, just to insult us and their Constitution a bit more? Well, in it, the US govt allowed the Federal Reserve to buy bonds of any corporations - without telling anyone. Guess what is happening to the Fed’s bottom line?

FREE SPEECH - THE F.A.C.E. ACT

A man who defended his son on a sidewalk just finished a years-long nightmare after the feds tried to destroy his life using the clearly unconstitutional “FACE” Act. That act obviously is a Congressional move that breaches the First Amendment. Yet, the court here did not bother looking at that, and merely tried to judge whether, under the clearly unconstitutional statute they would not question, the man was guilty of breaching the law. Headline: “BREAKING: Mark Houck cleared of FACE Act charges in rebuke to Justice Department’s aggressive prosecution – EWTN Great Britain” LINK

IMMIGRATION POLICE STATE

Congressman Chip Roy wants to expel or block migrants based on their “ideologies” - as defined by the federal government. He wants to be sure “communists” don’t come here to live, because, of course, that’s collectivist thinking, and Chip wants to be sure to use collectivist thinking and central government power to stop… er… collectivist ideology. -Remember that ICE agent shooting a man in CA last week? The ICE story is falling apart, of course. Headline: “Central Valley residents demand answers in Patterson ICE shooting | Opinion” LINK

FISA

It looks likely that FISA will be reauthorized, despite folks such as Thomas Massie trying to stop it or include in it a mandate for a judicial warrant. Kyle Anzalone offers Judge Napolitano keen thoughts on the matter, and we want to keep in mind that the US Constitution doesn’t grant “permission” for anything. It is a claim of power over people who are supposed to be free, but, within its rules even the Constitution does not differentiate permission for spying on foreigners. That simply is not built into the system. Any attempt to gather anything from any target must see any level of government get a public warrant, issued by a judge, citing the person to be searched and the items sought.

THE GOVERMENT-SUBSIDIZED POSTAL SYSTEM

Yep. More financial problems. Headline: “USPS pauses pension contributions while warning of potential liquidity shortfall” LINK
