WARTHE MASSIE-GALLREINMassie has a good sense of humor, despite the dark tactics used against him. (This X post, coming from people who don’t seem to want folks to know how much cash Israeli forces handed to Gallstone.)
The polls close in a few hours. As the AIPAC and other outside lobbies fund Gallrein 5X what Massie has raised (Massie did not take donations from any international groups). Yet Gallrein pretends he is a local creation and somehow represents “American values” - whatever that loaded term means in the hands of the political sculptors of the moment.
And Massie’s stance as the future of the GOP seems to be invisible to the establishment-AIPAC-eaters at the GOP

The GOP doesn’t like someone who votes most consistently with the GOP platform, in fact, they try to use Massie’s votes against poison-pill-tied bills as his opposition to key GOP positions. Stephen Miller is particularly guilty in this regard
And Israel knows the importance of this referendum on Israeli influence.
But people like Shapiro will try to depict criticism of a state and of genocide and of state-funded abortion (Israel gets US tax cash to fund abortions through their govt-run medical system) as “antisemitic”

US-ISRAEL-IRANTrump now says he changed his mind on conducting an attack on Iran he had planned for today because he heard from a cadre of Mid-East national leaders who asked him to put it off. None of those leaders says they were aware he was planning on any attack, and Larry Johnson noted to Danny Haiphong that Trump’s military lines had not packed the proper orders and resources into the region (particularly Saudi) to initiate such an attack.
A major driver for some of the Mid-Eastern reluctance to back the US this time (both Saudi and the UAE were very compliant w the US, incorrectly assuming the US actions on Feb 28 would lead to a victory over Iran) is the fact that, on May 17, a drone strike—attributed by UAE officials to Iran or pro-Iranian proxies operating from Iraqi territory—hit an electrical generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra region. The attack sparked a fire but caused no injuries, no damage to the reactors themselves, and no radiation leak; Reactor 3 lost off-site power for about 24 hours and had to switch to emergency diesel backup generators for the first time in the history of a fully operating nuclear power plant under military threat. UAE authorities condemned it as a “terrorist attack,” while the IAEA confirmed normal radiation levels. This was a warning to the UAE. By hitting the backup-gen, the Iranians knew they would not be creating a risk of meltdown, but were warning the UAE government that, should the UAE link again with the USA, they could create a chain reaction with the UAE unable to start a backup cooling system. WHAT WILL SAUDI DO? —Reports say that Pakistani reps are in Saudi right now, signaling to Trump that the two nations might further turn away from the US…
In September, 2025, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan formalized the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA), a bilateral mutual-defense pact under which an attack on one is treated as an attack on both. The deal builds on decades of military cooperation (including training, equipment sharing, and troop deployments) and was recently activated amid heightened Iran-Saudi tensions, with Pakistan sending approximately 8,000 troops, JF-17 fighter jets, drones, and an HQ-9 air-defense system to Saudi Arabia. While early rumors suggested possible expansion to include Turkey, the pact has remained strictly bilateral. It is widely viewed as Riyadh’s effort to diversify security partnerships beyond the United States and as a deterrent signal in the region. LINK

A REMINDER RE ST. GEORGEDuring rival demonstrations in central London on Saturday —one a far-right “Unite the Kingdom” rally organized by Tommy Robinson featuring numerous St. George’s Cross flags, and the other a large pro-Palestine Nakba Day march—at least one speaker and several demonstrators publicly highlighted the historical fact that England’s patron saint, St. George, was Palestinian. The speaker linked below noted that St. George was born to a Palestinian mother (with ties to the region of modern-day Israel/Palestine, specifically Lydda), was martyred for his Christian faith, and is still venerated locally as Mar Girgis; protesters carried signs reading “ST GEORGE WAS A PALESTINIAN” to underscore the irony of far-right groups celebrating a figure with deep Middle Eastern roots.
