GALLREIN BEATS MASSIE IN GOP PRIMARY FOR KY CONG DIST 4Reason puts it well:
‘In various ratings systems maintained by groups such as Heritage Action and Conservative Review, Massie has always been an exemplary congressman. Once, that would have meant something. When Massie was first elected to Congress in 2012, the Tea Party era was in full swing, and Republicans were expected to pass those purity tests or be cast out.
Now, being liked by Trump is the only test that matters. Gallrein passed it. He’s even defended Trump’s war in Iran as part of a “five-dimensional chess” effort to reset “the entire global power structure.”
Massie held on longer than most, but his path into political retirement is well-worn. It has been trodden by many Tea Party–era Republicans who stuck to their principles only to discover that principles no longer matter in the contemporary GOP.’

WARWAR POWERS ACT PASSES US SENATE THNX TO SWITCH BY LA GOP SEN CASSIDYHeadline: “Senate advances war powers measure after GOP’s Cassidy switches sides” Link — The Senate just took a procedural step forward on a War Powers Resolution aimed at forcing President Trump to end (or get congressional approval for) U.S. military involvement in the Iran war. This happened yesterday, via a 50-47 vote on a motion to discharge the measure (a joint resolution sponsored by Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va.) from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. LINK - It’s the first time such a resolution has cleared this hurdle after multiple failed attempts since Trump unconstitutionally and unethically ordered strikes on Iran in late February 2026 (now past the 60-day War Powers Act clock). Sen. Cassidy —who just lost his GOP primary to a Trump-backed challenger—provided the decisive fourth Republican vote, joining Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska). Most Democrats supported it; Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was the lone Democratic no. — What happens next (procedurally and realistically):
Senate floor vote on final passage — The resolution now moves to the full Senate for a debate and up-or-down vote on final passage. Timing isn’t set yet (could be in the coming days or weeks), but it’s expected soon. Three Republicans were absent on the procedural vote (Sens. John Cornyn, Thom Tillis, and Tommy Tuberville). If they (or others) vote no on final passage, it could fail on a 50-50 tie (Vice President Vance would break it against the measure).
If it passes the Senate (needs a simple majority) — It goes to the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. Similar House measures have failed narrowly or been blocked before, so passage there is very unlikely.
If it somehow passes both chambers — President Trump has made clear he opposes these efforts and would almost certainly veto it. Overriding a veto requires a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate, which is not realistic given current partisan dynamics.

GAZAThe Israeli monsters have been recording their cocky mistreatment of the Sumud Flotilla sailors whom the IDF kidnapped on the open sea. Italian PM Meloni is expressing intense anger and opposition, while Mike Huckabee remains silent.
THE WEST BANKBuilding on legislation passed in March by the Knesset, under which a military order makes execution the default punishment for Palestinians convicted in military courts of killing Israelis. Israel amended its death penalty law to include the occupied West Bank - yet another move to further the Zionist goal of ethnically cleansing Palestinians. The law states: “Where a court has imposed a death sentence, it shall issue an order specifying that the sentence shall be executed by hanging,” and “shall be executed within 90 days of the date it [the sentence] becomes final.”
The law applies exclusively to Palestinians, who will be tried under Israel’s military court system. Jewish Israelis are not prosecuted under the same courts, nor are they subject to the same mandatory punishment structure.
Israel is holding thousands of Palestinians in detention, many of whom are held without fair trials, subjected to torture, and now face the death penalty. These are individuals who may be innocent, with children and grieving families.
In related news, as we mentioned last night on Liberty Conspiracy LIVE, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich was informed that the ICC had issued a confidential arrest warrant for him. The reason likely falls into the parameters of the ICC slogan, which is, “Trying individuals for genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and aggression,” we can make an educated guess on that one.
He seems to think he’s untouchable and above international law, as he responded by saying the warrants are “a declaration of war,” and “in the face of a declaration of war, we will fight back with a vengeance.”
Smotrich proceeded to announce that he “will sign an order to evacuate Khan al-Ahmar,” a Palestinian village in the West Bank. Some are interpreting this as a threat to ethnically cleanse the area. Either way, with the death penalty law now in effect in the region, more Palestinians are being placed in grave danger.
As Natali Morris, of Redacted, observed in her morning Subscriber Email:
’It’s clear Israel is operating without restraint or consequences and is positioning itself as a state with the authority to decide who lives and who dies, with no regard for basic human rights.
If another country committed acts of genocide and introduced laws such as these, do you think the U.S. would openly support and fund them, too? How is this even allowed to happen?’
