Max Blumenthal stresses this reality, in this excellent conversation with Judge Napolitano
JD Vance is promoting the MoU, and, in doing so, is saying things that don’t comport with earlier statements he has made. This new position, including speaking positively about lifting the blockade, promoting the idea of Iran getting reparations (somehow), Iran having mutual control over the Strait (with Oman), and Iran being able to generate nuclear anergy through a low-level enrichment process, were not in his “favorable” category even a week ago. Now, he is standing against ISRAEL continuing its aggression in southern Lebanon (mostly lip service, not backed by any statement that US aid to Israel should end) and that is part of the promotion of the MoU, which Vance now is saying Israel ought to get behind. So, this presents the question: when one is a, say, sheep who cannot trust the wolf — be it in sheep’s clothing or not — and the wolf suddenly speaks up against the farmer coming to kill some of your sheep kin, how does one assess the relationship with the already-proven-deadly-and-deceitful wolf?
This is interesting, since in the statement, Vance pretty much admits that the world shuns the actions of Israel, but he doesn’t take the next step to ask WHY…
Trump is taking a similar tack, levering the US power over Israel, yet he will not acknowledge that the US is not supposed to be supporting any nation state, especially the Zionist occupation state...

If only Sen Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) (who usually is terrible on virtually every issue) could step further towards voluntary association and towards the federalism promised by the US Const. This is a good speech, but limits his ability to fight the immigration police state. THE TRUMP IRS SLUSH FUNDIS NOT DEAD. Trump’s attempt to simply move the funds via a “settlement” with the Justice Department he runs is hitting judicial snags, so Congress is debating whether to allow it. US ECONOMYThis is a very good piece on the dangerous steps Trump has been taking towards weaving US government interests directly into shareholding of numerous corporations. As if government grants and loans were not enough, now, thanks t o Trump, we have models similar to ad-hoc Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, similar to the FDIC offering insurance of deposits IF banks do certain things. This, also, is akin to the New York City Public Workers Pension Fund being invested in major banks, and having so much money in them, the city Comptroller can try to push the banks to behave in certain politically tailored ways. Check out this piece, likening the corporatist-fascist activity of today to the old British “East India Tea Company” motif.
