ISRAEL - NDAA SEC 224Yeah, so here is that great politician who helped slip Israeli interests into a permanent place in US-Arms-Fascism, should this portion of the NDAA not get removed.
CUBACong Anna Paulina Luna (R-FLA) is a big booster of making life hard in Cuba by imposing unconstitutional embargoes, working for overthrow of the government, and more. But when questioned about her thuggish impositions, when merely QUESTIONED by Medea Benjamin, of CodePink, Luna gets so testy that a minor, millisecond-long brush of Benjamin’s hand on her elbow triggers Luna to claim “assault” in order to slip away. Perhaps after the atrocious soiling of her expensive jacket, she could donate it to a needy Cuban whose life is in turmoil thanks, in part, to her political actions. Natali Morris nails it, again: ‘Russia says it could respond to Ukraine’s latest attacks with nuclear weapons.
That warning came after Ukrainian drones struck targets in St. Petersburg during Russia’s flagship international economic forum, an event hosting roughly 20,000 attendees from more than 130 countries. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said attacks on Russia’s territorial integrity could, under Russia’s military doctrine, justify the use of nuclear weapons in a worst-case scenario.
The strikes are significant not only because of where they occurred, but because they hit deep inside Russia on civilian targets while Moscow is hosting one of its most important economic and diplomatic gatherings. Reports also circulated of civilian casualties from a separate drone attack on a passenger bus, adding to domestic pressure on the Kremlin to respond.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues to publicly support peace negotiations while simultaneously renewing his push for NATO membership. During meetings with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Zelensky released another of the now-familiar wartime videos that have become a staple of his public image: solemn tributes to the soldiers he sent to their deaths and once again portraying himself as the tragic hero of a war he refuses to end.
Whether Russia’s nuclear warning is a genuine threat or another attempt at deterrence, one thing is clear: the war is expanding beyond the battlefield. As attacks reach deeper into Russian territory and rhetoric grows more extreme, the risk of a wider confrontation continues to rise.’

IMMIGRATION POLICE STATEMarkwayne Mullen reiterated his threat to stop ICE interaction between foreign tourists and the US customs cats at airports - thanks to few Americans checking either the US Constitution or more fundamental ethics to see that there is no place for US officials to block PEOPLE at any gate of entry (even airports) in the US. This is his threat to “sanctuary cities” - which have constitutionally reserved power to be sanctuaries to migrants, depending on the state constitution in question. The immigration matter is a powerful example of US citizens not embracing what they often purportedly love - their Constitution. NDAA SEC 224Section 224 of the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) remains in the bill. It is part of H.R. 8800 (the House version of the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2027), specifically titled the “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” This section would require the Secretary of Defense to designate an executive agent to coordinate and expand bilateral U.S.-Israel defense technology efforts, including research, development, testing, evaluation, integration, and industrial cooperation in areas such as AI, cyber, missile defense, quantum, autonomous systems, and more. It builds on prior cooperative programs and aims to facilitate faster transition of technologies into U.S. programs of record.
Key Recent Developments
The House Armed Services Committee released the Chairman’s Mark (including Section 224) in late May 2026.
During the full committee markup of H.R. 8800 on June 4, 2026, a bipartisan amendment (offered by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY), among others) to strike or remove Section 224 was rejected. The committee advanced the bill with Section 224 intact.
The bill (over $1 trillion) now moves to the full House of Representatives for floor consideration, where additional amendments could still be proposed. It will later need to be reconciled with the Senate’s version of the NDAA.
