Here are some of the big matters we discussed and investigated, tonight:
US ECONOMY – US CONTINUING RESOLUTION VOTE IN HOUSE
Thomas Massie voted against it. LINK And, despite prior protestation against it, Marjorie Taylor Green voted FOR it. LINK
The new Continuing Resolution (CR) passed the House today (designated H.R. 5371), and extends federal government funding at fiscal year 2025 levels, with an annualized rate of approximately $1.6 trillion in discretionary spending (consistent with the prior full-year CR for FY 2025). It funds federal operations through November 21 (about seven weeks from the start of FY 2026, which began on October 1).
It does not contain any specific funding or weapons shipment provisions for Israel or Ukraine, but Trump is funding NATO’s “defense” portion to nearly 68-70% and then NATO is buying weapons from US arms makers and sending them to Ukraine.
As Massie notes, it also reinstates CISA, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, including federal agency cybersecurity services, information sharing liability protections that allow tech to share your data with the feds without you being able to sue them (a clear circumvention of the 4th Amendment), and offers AI and “cyber” grants to state/local governments, through November 21.
NPR and NBC note the vote broke on party lines:
Virtually all House Democrats present voted No, totaling approximately 210 members (with 2 not voting). Specific names of all No voters are not exhaustively listed in available sources, but the opposition was unanimous among leadership and the vast majority of the caucus, led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who criticized the bill as a "partisan spending bill that... continues to gut health care."
One Democrat, Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME), reportedly voted Yes, breaking ranks.
Two Democrats did not vote: Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) and Rep. Tim Moore (D-NC, though Moore is actually a Republican; sources indicate one unnamed Democrat absent).
Republicans Who Voted Against (No) Only 2:
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who opposed the extension of prior spending levels, calling it a continuation of "Biden’s agenda."
Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN), citing fiscal concerns with the short-term measure.
The bill now heads to the Senate, where it will require Democratic support to overcome a filibuster.

Its apparatchiks understand “culture” and “humanities” – so they are quietly funding the Jewish-American neoconservative Tikvah Fund to counter "the pathology of anti-Semitism" and teach the Talmud. IMMIGRATION POLICE-STATE
An “immigration judge” - NOT A real judge, but a judge in the executive branch-run “immigration system” - has ruled that former Columbia U student, legal permanent US resident, and peace advocate Mahmoud Khalil should be shipped to SYRIA or ALGERIA. The judge claims that he willfully omitted information (including ties to UNRWA and campus activism) on his green card application; his lawyers have vowed to appeal. LINK
And let’s recall this ruling from the SCOTUS, from Sept 8. LINK
Trump now has 35,000 US soldiers on the ground inside the United States. LINK
Some of his ICE goons broke the window of a vehicle in which a man was sitting when they arrested him. He must have been threatening a lot of people, sitting there… LINK
