While the life of Sri Krishnamacharya has been explored to a great extent, his personal beliefs and philosophical background remain somewhat more mysterious. In this podcast, Yogacharya Sridharan, a senior mentor from the Sri Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandir in Chennai, will present a text called Yoga Valli, composed by Krishnamacharya, which contains his commentary on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Sri Krishnamacharya outlines his personal beliefs and approach to yoga as both a philosophy and a spiritual practice. In doing so, he quotes the Bhagavad Gita, various Upanishads, and other texts to create a thorough and comprehensive approach to yoga. If you are curious about the spiritual beliefs of the father of modern yoga, this episode will be very interesting!
