Wain has a Bachelor’s in Journalism and a Masters in Education. He is a Veteran of the US Army and has worked in the field of juvenile justice for over 40 years
He is a member of the Memphis Runners Track Club for 30 years and their Board of Directors for 27 years
Wain also participated in over 25 triathlons in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Alabama
He was inducted into the Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame in December 2019.
