Murray Leinster wasn’t just a science fiction writer—he was also one of the first people to seriously imagine something like the internet decades before it existed. In his prophetic 1946 story A Logic Named Joe, he described a world where people had home computers (he called them “logics”) that were all connected to a central system, letting people look up information, watch entertainment, and even communicate across great distances. It’s eerie how close it is to how we actually use the internet today.
