Listen to the all too common story shared by Laura of how she was to become aware only after the fact, that a former relationship was one that featured domestic abuse.
The signs were subtle, not so dramatic but taken as a whole led to her physical and emotional breakdown, PTSD and ongoing mental health issues.

Alongside the #SpotTheSigns campaign to raise awareness in communities of domestic abuse - Dr Gill interviews Seema Dhanak about how we can offer support to people who are vulnerable in their own homes at this time.
Domestic Abuse crimes have risen since social distancing has been introduced with 14 women and 2 children being killed in the first 3 weeks alone. As we have had to become aware of our own health and wellbeing and more concerned for our loved ones, neighbours, friends and colleagues, this is a good time to think about those that are isolated at home with an abusive or violent family member.
Seema helps us to understand the help available from current support services and what we can safely do as individuals if we have concerns
Please share this episode and listen in if you run a single-sex Facebook group whether it has a business or health and fitness focus

In this second part of 2, we also discuss the risks and benefits of HRT .
"I so wish someone had told me before about this... While it may not be the answer for everyone, I believe it's better than being stuffed with anti-depressants. It was soo relatable (sadly). You're one tough cookie!" Kate
