She meets an old man named Harlan who tells her about his wife, who vanished into the wheat field twenty years ago. He brings her to the edge of a field where the wheat grows in a perfect circle, and shows her the light that calls out to the ones who can't find their way home. Luna watches the light pulse, feels the pull, and understands that some losses are not meant to be closed. The story ends with her driving away, the light still flickering in the rearview mirror, and the sound of Harlan's voice asking if she knows what it means to be truly lost.
