The Light That Never Fades
“The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” - Revelation 21:23.
Imagine a place where there’s no night.
No shadows. No darkness. No hidden tears.
A place where the very presence of God is the light itself.
That’s the New Jerusalem. There, the sun isn’t needed. There, the glory of God shines everywhere — and the Lamb, Jesus Christ, is the lamp that never goes out.
But now, take a look at your life. How many times have you been walking in the dark, trying to find your way? Searching for light in people, in social media likes, in temporary pleasures that fade away? We chase things that sparkle for a moment, but they never truly shine. It’s a fake light — it doesn’t warm your heart, and it doesn’t show you the way.
God is calling you to something far greater.
He wants you to know the true light — the kind that doesn’t depend on time, energy, or the approval of others. The light of Christ isn’t just for heaven; it’s for now. When He lives in you, your soul starts to shine — even in the darkest places of this world.
Think about it: if in heaven the sun won’t be needed, it’s because whoever lives with God never needs to look for light anywhere else. So why keep living in the shadows, searching for meaning where it can’t be found?
Today, God is inviting you to let His light in — to step out of the darkness of doubt, sin, and guilt. To open your heart to a light that transforms, warms, and leads.
If you’ve been living in the dark, say this from your heart: “Lord Jesus, be my light.”
Let Him ignite in you a fire that never burns out — the living presence of the Lamb.
Because when He shines in you, the night disappears… and eternity begins to rise inside your heart.
