On the 12th episode of The Matters Of The Heart podcast, I have the honour of reading the story of a lady who reached out to me from the United States.

 She is in an arranged marriage and the ordeal she went through had a detrimental impact on her as she felt caged and did not have the freedom to do or buy what she wanted when she wanted. She highlighted the fact that she wasn't working during the whole time which her husband used against her every time. 

She narrated her harrowing ordeal and the psychological torture she went through which she said no woman should ever experience.

On a happy note, she eventually secured a job and is now able to buy the things she actually wants shopping from her favourite shops.

Warning that every woman should have a stream of income to ease the burden of their partners and be financially independent.
