Most things should be shared. But not everything. My parents celebrated 44 years of marriage on Friday with a bouquet of flowers and a hotel room in Seattle. On Facebook they allowed us a photo of the small garden and a note to us that they were happy. 44 years. On one level I feel like I had a front row seat to their romance. But, I also know, what goes on between a man and a woman in love is private. It is a mystery.
