Sometimes I feel like people are trying to teach me my ABCs when I want to show them that I can read. It does not sit well with me. Not because I want to stop learning, but because I hope that we can have a conversation about it. I am very aware I know less about certain topics, like fashion for example, but that does not mean I haven't been thinking about them. It does not mean I haven't been doing my own research, or getting other input. So sometimes, I hope to have conversations with people whom I am aware know more about the topic, so that we can trade ideas and share our points of view and process, together, what those points of view would mean for us. This story was written on one such day, when I brought myself and my thoughts to a conversation and was promptly run over by the other person's eye and experience.
