Welcome to episode 26 of my new Podcast and YouTube series- Storytime with Sammie. Where I read to you all of the stories and Fairy Tales that I usually read to my youngest son, who, along with my eldest we hadn't seen for a while due to the coronavirus pandemic. We were so happy so have them last week but unfortunately have returned to their other homes, and we don't know when we will next get to see them during this outbreak :( 

 This is a story about a young girl called Mary, who traps a small Ant underneath a thimble while she sat sewing in the garden. Thankfully the next day she removes the thimble, but the poor Ant is not doing well. Mary's Father teaches her a lesson in why you should treat all animals, even the tiniest ones, with love and respect. As Animals have families and friends and societies just like we do, and sometimes they can act with more kindness and compassion than us humans do!
