Hadden considers Nehemiah 8 where Ezra read the book of the Law to the people of Israel. The Law of God was made clear so that the people understood what was being read, and as a result they wept when they were convicted. Hadden encourages us never to water down the message of God's word, even when it may seem unpalatable to our 21st century culture. As we study the word of God, we are encouraged to go where the living Word takes us.
