Confessions and Ramblings of a Functioning Psychotic

The Long Road Back

Listen Later

This is a very special riveting episode featuring Aunt Bo's close friend, James, a 43 year old previously healthy male who contracted COVID 19 back when it began last March.  He still has not recovered.

Before last March, James worked with Aunt Bo at a large media company in NYC and lived with his fiance in Astoria, Queens.  He had a passion and talent as a musician and was about to sign with a record label; go on tour; and start marketing for radio play.  He and his fiance were planning their wedding that was to happen last July.  Then one day at work with a sick co-worker led James' fiance to contract COVID 19 and bring it home to him before the country had began to shut down.  He was never going to be prepared for what came next.  He lost his job and his health insurance; his singing career and trajectory; his personal relationships and most importantly, his health.

An endless downward spiral of symptoms and virtually no help from the medical professionals led James on a tireless journey of research, trial and error and dedication to beating the virus that was taking everything he treasured in life.   As the world continues to traverse this new environment, politics and parties have taken the place of humanity, science and common sense.  Hear what long haul COVID really feels like on the inside on this heartbreaking episode of Confessions.
