In Week 36 of The Long Way Through Scripture, we continue through Matthew 14–28 and follow Jesus from His public ministry toward the cross and resurrection.
In these chapters, Jesus feeds the crowds, walks on water, teaches His disciples, confronts religious hypocrisy, enters Jerusalem, shares the Last Supper, prays in Gethsemane, gives His life on the cross, and rises from the grave. Matthew shows us that Jesus is not only the promised King, but the suffering Savior and risen Lord.
This week’s reflection:
Following Jesus means trusting Him not only in moments of joy, but also when the road leads through sacrifice, uncertainty, and waiting.
Whether you're following the full reading plan or simply listening along, I hope this episode helps you see the cross and resurrection as the center of God’s redemption story.
