KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • My mission for it is to spread decentralised philanthropy throughout the world (especially along this route) which provides the opportunity for people who have had that desire to give, or serve, or get involved in something that they care about but haven’t known what to give, how to give or what to get involved in. Along the route I’ll be interacting with different communities and groups and when I come across certain people or areas that need help, service, assistance, I can hop online and do a massive livestream crowdfunding project.
  • I’m not really too concerned with the safety aspect. For this moment in my life this is part of my mission, my purpose, my assignment, it more or less came to me and inspired me and the more pieces and connecting the dots that I did the purpose for this walk really helped me realise that it’s a much bigger thing than me. I’m not naïve either, I know there are dangerous areas and a lot of contingency planning that will go into the planning, but I’m not as concerned with safety as I could be because I’m not really planning on dying I’m focussing on the adventure, the purpose and the end objectives.
  • I see a transition about to take place and we have two choices. We can either let the rulers govern in the way that we perceive being able to experience life, or we can change the rules, step into who we were created to be and walk. For me, that’s taking ownership of my life and doing what I’m called to do rather than just thinking about what would be fun/nice/cool to do. This is why I’m here.
  • The biggest challenge will be mentally staying in it. I can do a lot of things because the human mind and body is capable of a lot of really, sometimes, incomprehensible things. But the other side of the mind, the side that fights with you on things or you get caught up in your own thoughts, that’s probably going to be the most challenging part; staying in it, staying focussed, keeping moving forward, and just remembering why I’m there.

BEST MOMENTS
‘The road I’m walking is about 14,000 miles from Cape Town in South Africa to Magadan in Russia. It’ll take about two years.’
‘If I could go tomorrow I totally would.’
‘My purpose is my why and my why is my purpose. Having a concrete foundation of this is what my life is meant for is a very propelling driving force for me moving forward.’
‘Start asking questions. When you start asking questions your mind comes up with answers. But, keep in mind that if you ask a question that is easy to answer, it’s probably the wrong question.’
ABOUT THE GUEST
Travis Robbins: I absolutely love a good adventure story. I've always had a very active and vivid imagination, so when I was younger I imagined myself going on adventures all the time; still do.
I joined the Marines a couple years after high school and quickly realised it wasn't for me, so once my contract was up I was happy to move on.

ABOUT THE HOST
Gavin Scott is a born entrepreneur with a passion for start up and scale up. He has over 20 years real estate experience in investment and development.
Gavin says: Over the years I have discovered that mindset is everything. Now, that might sound obvious, but it is! You see the number of awoken minds are very few in reality. Whilst acknowledging mindset is key it is absolutely different from utilising, influencing, impacting and effecting great change, for yourself, your loved ones, friends, colleagues and the wider public.
Why?
Like most of us I have had many ups and downs. I want to share the lessons learnt and promote a better environment for all, internally and externally!
How?
Through sharing my own experiences and hosting some fabulous individuals including some big household names to discuss key topics around mindset and the success formulas I hope the listener will become inspired to create space for change for betterment in their lives. I aim to inspire change by encouragement, not by force. I intend to inspire by education, not by regulation.
