The children of Israel were in for a big surprise. Having just been rescued from Egypt, they had no idea of the full extent of God's power to bless. God could bless them even in the middle of a barren desert wasteland. God spoke these words: The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; The LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

This is what has become known as "The High Priestly Blessing of Aaron." Praise God that we now have a High Priest who has gone through the heavens on our behalf. Jesus Christ rose and ascended to heaven to be our Blessed High Priest. Jesus will place God's Name on us. That is a miracle in our lives today and forever. Amen.
