We have been given both the invitation and the command to pray like Jesus. But, too often, we have allowed our prayer life to deviate from the paradigm that Jesus gave us. In our modern world, and specifically, in our modern culture, it is entirely too easy for our prayers to be deeply embedded in our desires and ambitions. Today, we will begin our two-week examination of the Lord’s Prayer and see that our prayer life has to be rooted in God’s cause. Let’s reclaim the ancient practice of prayer in our lives.
