David was betrayed by family and friends. The people he served were the same ones trying to sell him into the hands of his mortal enemy. Yet, he did not stop doing good and looking to God. This example might look impossible to us until we consider Jesus. The Greater David walked through betrayal far worse than David. And He continued to entrust Himself to Him who judges justly. In doing so, He made a way for us to be right with God forever, even when our responses to betrayal fall far short of His.
