My podcast platform is shutting down. So I’m throwing this podcast episode up there.

A tentative schedule for The next year of competitive Dota 2 tournaments has been leaked and hoooooo boooooy, Dota 2 is gonna be hype next year.

ESIC have released their recommendations for dealing with cheaters. In turn, these suggestions have prompted ESL to forgive the ex-iBUYPOWER players that Valve have indefinitely banned from competitive play. I don’t completely agree with the decision, but I’m not going to complain. These standards have been a long time coming.

On Monday, Valve announced drastic changes to the structure of professional Dota 2 competition and, based on a first glance and a little bit of dreaming, the ramifications of this shift will generate hype hand over fist for years to come.

I promise to stay away from discussing the OWL after today’s episode. I PROMISE.

This episode is a not-at-all dramatic reading between the lines of the latest Overwatch League communique from its commissioner. More insight to come later this week.
