In episode eighteen of the M-Cray Podcast, *A Hardened Heart,* we explore the dangers of closing our hearts to the voice of God. Scripture says, “Today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart” (Hebrews 3:15). When we let pride or hurt build walls, we distance ourselves from God's presence. Jesus said, “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me” (Matthew 15:8). A hardened heart blocks us from truly hearing God’s voice.

God doesn’t force a hardened heart on anyone. Like wax or clay in the sun, the same heat can either soften or harden. This life acts as a furnace, testing whether our hearts will remain soft and responsive or become rigid and resistant to God's truth. A heart that hardens through life’s trials becomes less able to receive God's guidance.
