They will often lie and deceive those in their personal circle of friends to turn their back on the people they don’t like or don’t agree with their behavior or beliefs. This is done in order to make themselves look better and to gain control over the situation. They may spread false rumors about the person they want to discredit, or they may try to convince their friends to believe their version of the story. This is done in order to gain power and control over the situation and to make themselves look better in the eyes of their friends. In addition, narcissistic people may also enlist the help of their friends to become their flying monkeys. These are people who are willing to spread the lies and rumors that the narcissist has created about the person they want to discredit. They may also assist in building a false narrative about the person that the narcissist has created. This false narrative can be used to further discredit the person and gain more control over the situation. By using their friends as flying monkeys, the narcissist is able to gain more power and control over the situation and make themselves look better in the eyes of their friends.
