You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

If ever there was a time when there was a clear picture that the man in the middle orchestrates our lives, it was in Joseph's life. His life was amazing; it had drama, twists, turns, rollercoasters, and then some. Joseph's life was one for the ages.

Talk about the man in the middle. God was with Joseph, and he prospered. This is the theme that played out throughout Joseph's entire life. There was a man in the middle-God.

Joseph's life was a type and shadow of Christ's. He meditated for his family. Joseph became the man in the middle for his family in the midst of the worst food shortage that could have wiped out the Israelites. But God, who was in the middle of the situation, sent Joseph ahead of his family to save many people alive and made him the man in the middle. Hence, his life was a type and shadow of Christ's.

Christ stood in the middle for us on the cross. He was sent ahead of us to redeem us and to save many people from death, eternal death, and eternal separation from God. This man in the middle is not about providing physical food but food for our souls. Jesus is the man in the middle who fights for us and provides for us.

Joseph provided for his brothers, who wanted to kill him; Jesus provided for us, who killed him, but he knew the cost of being the man in the middle, so the Bible said that he laid down his life for us so that we could become the righteousness of God in him.

May we never forget the cross and the man in the middle; he now lives inside of us. He is no longer on the cross; he's no longer in the grave; he sat down at the right hand of God the Father, petitioning for us. What is he doing? He's in the middle; he's the mediator; he petitions our case before God and intercedes for us.

We rejoice today for the man in the middle, our mediator, God, and Lord. He is our savior and our Christ. May we never forget the cross and the man in the middle. His death gave us life.
