For a special PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION EVE show, we pulled a very appropriate unreleased episode from the vault. Although recorded over 3 years ago before we launched the podcast, this episode on the original and remake of the Manchurian Candidate could not be more timely. We tackle the differing takes each director, John Frankenheimer & Jonathan Demme, had on the adaptation of the novel by George Axelrod, and we talk about the different implications each version has for its time, and for ours. Also, this one is proof that our little movie show has always been on brand.
