Listen to the Chairperson’s (Nikilitha Mxinwa) rendition of the (his) Mandela Dream as he ponders on the real significance of Mandela Day given our country’s strife. He reminisces of his first time learning of Mandela, what it meant to him then and what the stalwart represents now. He lambasts the incumbent government’s failures 29 years after Freedom Day, asking whether this is the real freedom we fought for. He concludes by bringing into perspective the living standards of students (himself being one) and makes a call to action to the youth to spearhead the movement towards better and sustainable change.
