The Map is Public Now

Listen Later

On June 25th, the Department of War released a PR email about the Investment Intelligence Center, a public dashboard tracking more than $6.5 billion in national-security capital across hundreds of investments. In this episode of Core Sample, I walk through what the map shows, what it confirms about the industrial-base rebuild thesis, why the recent commodity selloff doesn’t break the signal, and what critical materials companies need to understand about the governance and cyber expectations that come with moving closer to defense contracts.

In This Episode

• What the Investment Intelligence Center is and why it matters for anyone tracking industrial-base capital

• The focus areas the government has flagged as national-security pressure points

• Why government capital is a signal, not just money

• The fiscal constraint: rebuilding industrial capacity under rising debt and defense spending

• Why the selloff in gold, silver, and oil doesn’t end the thesis and the better questions to ask

• The missing capital-markets story: why resource and industrial-base companies aren’t getting the IPO attention they may deserve

• CMMC phase mandated November 2025, now managed by ISACA what that means

• Why cyber readiness is operational readiness, not a side project
