When the disciples urged Jesus to send the crowd away, He told them. "You give them something to eat.” Jesus’ intent was to use His disciples to do His work. Jesus’ miracle of feeding the 5000 began with whatever the disciples had to give and ended with each one picking up their own basketfull of leftovers.
