There are lots of things that make someone an athlete. This is the best way to separate those skills so that you can focus on the right things every single time.
The Foundation - The subconscious skills that are active 100% of the time. You've gotta be good at these or you're finished before you begin. Problems here show up in the walls and the roof, but it almost always starts down below.
The Walls - Your physical body. Some things are changeable, some things aren't. Your age, height, weight, muscle mass, body fat percentage, mobility, strength, speed, agility ect. Usually when someone says "athlete" they're only thinking about the walls. Time to expand that vision.
The Roof - the sport specific skills that make or break your performance while people are looking at you. There is the most difference here between singers and traditional athletes. There isn't that much difference in the walls or the foundation....
