The Master of Disguise (2002)

Listen Later

Grab some popcorn and maybe a turtle because it's once again time for a classic "BRBR First Watch!" That's right! This week we are finally watching the ever so infamous, Dana Carvey comedy The Master of Disguise. It's up to Pistachio to uncover his family's legacy of disguising and save his mama and papa from a criminal mastermind. Despite it being one of the lowest rated movies we know today, it was actually a commissioned episode! And with being super grateful for the support, we had to venture into disguisey territory for you amazing viewers. I honestly knew nothing about this movie going into my first watch of it aside from a few lines and funny quotes. I mean, come on, love it or hate it people everywhere were quoting ridiculous gags from this one back in the early 2000s. But, not knowing anything was probably my best bet for this disguised disaster as I went in with a optimistically high bar! While I certainly love Dana Carvey, more so for his legendary role as Garth, this one was just a little bit too much in a, well, "turtley" sort of way for him. Can Pistachio uncover his family's legacy, rescue his parents and slap "who's your daddy?" into these bad reviewers? Tune in to find out!

If you enjoyed the episode, please rate and share! It goes such a long way and I am so grateful for all of the support. And hey, if you do leave a review of the show, you will be featured as well! How neat is that? Also, be sure to give my official Ko-Fi page a gander.
